Kastine Coleman is an accomplished FFI casting instructor, having demonstrated her exceptional skills and passion for the sport over the years. Her achievements extend beyond instructional excellence, as she has received 2 IGFA world records for Atlantic Salmon. Additionally, she is an esteemed fishing guide, and the proud owner of “Tight Loops Tight Lines,” a renowned business offering experience-based fishing packages, hosted trips, and a fly-casting school in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, aimed at introducing youth and women to the sport with conservation at the forefront of learning.
Many of you may be familiar with Kastine’s work through her captivating fly-fishing television show, airing on Sportsman Channel Canada and the World Fishing Network. Her contributions to the industry just don’t stop there, Kastine is also a published freelance writer, with her articles featured in esteemed publications such as Fly Fusion, the Atlantic Salmon Journal, Saltscapes, Fishing & Travel/VDP magazine and FFI’s Flyfisher Magazine.
Kastine Coleman has been actively involved in the FFI community for many years. She is our Canadian ambassador for the organization, has presented virtually at the expos and women connect educational programs, and is a member of both the International Programs Committee and the Women’s Committee. Furthermore, her dedication extends to broader conservation efforts, as she serves as a director with Fly Fishers International, the Foundation for Conservation of Atlantic Salmon, SPAWN, and is an ambassador for Keep Fish Wet.
Her passion for the sport and her commitment to fostering international relationships within the fly-fishing community make her an excellent choice to help further the mission of Fly Fishers International on a global scale.
