Urge Your Senators to Oppose ALL Public Land Threats In Budget Reconciliation

Dear Wild Olympics Supporter,

Despite our recent collective bipartisan successes defeating the public land sale provision in the House version of the Budget, Senate Republicans are now proposing to sell-off over 3 million acres of public lands across 11 western states including WA.

And the rest of their draft Budget bill is just as egregious for public lands and rivers, including gutting NEPA, stripping environmental safeguards, mandated drilling & logging increases that would include roadless areas, cutting Old-Growth protections & many others. If passed into law in the final budget, the land sales & these extreme provisions could directly threaten roadless headwaters, ancient forests & salmon streams on Olympic National Forest and block public input over the management of our own public lands.

FIGHT BACK: There’s still time to stop this before the Senate votes on a final budget package in the next few weeks. Please Contact your Senators ASAP at www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm and demand they oppose all public land sales & threats in the Final Senate Budget Reconciliation bill and that the Wild Olympics aren’t for sale. (NOTE: If you live in WA State, please thank both our Senators for keeping up the fight for our public lands and give an extra thank you to our Senate Champion Senator Patty Murray for her reintroduction of the Wild Olympics Wilderness & Wild & Scenic Rivers Act with Representative Randall last month).

On behalf of myself, our campaign Chair Connie Gallant and the entire Wild Olympics Coalition, thank you, as always, for your support. We simply can’t do it without you.

With much gratitude,
